The project entails the design and construction of a shared, multiuse recreation pathway - a rail trail - along approximately 5km section of the disused rail corridor. The trail will commence across the road from the Visitor Information Centre, connecting to the existing pedestrian path and pedestrian bridge (east of the Visitor Information Centre), merge into the existing railway corridor, and proceed northwards for approximately 5 km. The completed trail will provide a high-quality, unsealed shared path, accessible for cyclists, pedestrians and other permitted users.
