The Bowen Wharf is situated off Santa Barbara Parade in Bowen, North Queensland, within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area (“Bowen Wharf”). Historically, the Bowen Wharf has played an essential role in supporting local industry, tourism, and community activities. From an engineering perspective, the Bowen Wharf has reached the end of its service life. Originally constructed in 1867, it is no longer economically sustainable to maintain for continued use.
